How the prediction pool works

Everything you need to know about predicting matches, earning points and climbing the standings.

Goal of the game

The goal of the prediction pool is to score as many points as possible by predicting the results of the 2026 World Cup matches as accurately as possible.

How does the prediction pool work?

You predict the result of every World Cup match. The closer you are to the actual result, the more points you earn.

You can adjust your predictions until shortly before the match starts.

Making predictions

  • Predict the final score of every match (e.g. 2–1).
  • You can enter and change predictions up to 15 minutes before kick-off.
  • After that, predictions become final.

Result determination

  • Only the score after 90 minutes + injury time counts.
  • Extra time and penalties do not count.

Points system

Exact score correct 200 pts
Correct winner / draw 75 pts
Correct goals per team 25 pts per team

Important: If you get the exact score right (200 pts), you don't receive extra points for the other categories.

  • Points are variable
  • Two types:
    • Exact questions → fully correct = points

  • The leaderboard is continuously updated.
  • The player with the most points wins.
